During its first year, Dina Försäkringar Syd conducted more than 500 digital inspections using XMReality. This effective way of working sparked interest from sister company Dina Försäkringar Nord, which also adopted XMReality for digital inspections following its own evaluation.
Insurance cases often require information about a property, an object or damage to be collected before a decision can be made. Physical visits can involve long journeys and time-consuming planning. With XMReality, insurance companies can examine objects together with customers through real-time video and carry out more of the process remotely.
Dina Försäkringar Syd began using the solution for activities including risk assessments before insurance policies are issued and inspections related to damage assessments.
Hundreds of inspections in a short time
During 2026, Dina Försäkringar Syd conducted more than 500 digital inspections. Customers could show the property or object using their mobile phones, while employees asked questions, examined relevant details and guided customers remotely.
This made digital inspections a regular part of day-to-day operations and gave the business greater flexibility. The approach reduced the need for travel and made it easier to gather relevant information when assessing risks or damage.
Tomas Johansson, Risk Manager at Dina Försäkringar Syd, describes the value:
"Offering a digital inspection as the first option creates flexibility and enables a quick assessment of insurance needs or damage repairs. Digital customer meetings also provide faster service and help us allocate resources to the right risk or damage, thereby further increasing our availability."
Ola Bergman, CEO of Dina Försäkringar Syd, also highlights the customer perspective:
"As part of being an accessible and sustainable insurance option, digital customer support is a major step in the right direction. XMReality makes things easier for our inspection staff, sales team, claims personnel, and, most importantly, for our existing and new customers."
Documentation that simplifies follow-up
An important part of the insurance process is documenting the findings from an inspection. With XMReality, notes and images from the call are automatically compiled into a PDF report that can be saved and shared. This gives employees a consolidated record following the digital inspection and can help simplify the subsequent handling of insurance cases. Combined with the ability to examine properties remotely, this feature contributes to a more connected digital workflow, from the customer meeting to documentation.
Experience at Dina Syd sparks interest from Dina Nord
The use of XMReality at Dina Syd also inspired interest from sister company Dina Nord. Covering a large geographical area, Dina Nord saw an opportunity to use XMReality with its field sales representatives serving agriculture and business customers, including for remote presentations and inspections when preparing insurance quotes.
The need for a more flexible way of working became particularly clear when Dina Nord had to turn down a prospective customer one Friday afternoon because an on-site visit would have required a six-hour round trip that could not be completed in time.
Following its own evaluation, Dina Nord also signed an agreement with XMReality.
From hundreds of digital inspections at Dina Syd to a new agreement with Dina Nord, this customer journey shows how practical experience can inspire other parts of an organization to adopt digital ways of working. XMReality is used here not only for technical guidance, but also for risk assessments, damage inspections and remote property inspections.
